Bloom&Doom [Poetic Riot]
[EN] BLOOM&DOOM is conceived as a system to communicate the emergency of climate breakdown we all are facing and inspire people to take actions now towards a more sustainable future. In a borderland between a procession, a guided tour, a party and an activism action, BLOOM&DOOM invites the public to actively participate in an immersive experience.
A wandering clan of young people will lead the audience in an urban ritual toward the city. Each member of the audience will be guided by a child who will take care of him, in an intimate relationship. Hand in hand we will cross the city looking for a sense of the future.
During the path the clan of young people will transmit to the public (the adults) their knowledge about adaptation, about how to live in a collapsing world, how to keep dreaming.
They could be in trouble. We could be in trouble.
What is the danger if the biggest risk is caused by us adults, day by day?
The mission of the clan is to reach a special place to accomplish their ritual and to get in front of the Master, a model of adaptability, flexibility and strength in the total absence of centers of command: the tree.
We must have faith in children and plants: at this point only they can show us the way.
[IT] BLOOM&DOOM è una esperienza per comunicare l’emergenza del collasso climatico e ispirare le persone ad agire adesso per un futuro possibile e più sostenibile.
In un terreno di mezzo tra un tour guidato, un party ed una azione di attivismo, BLOOM&DOOM invita il pubblico a partecipare attivamente in un’esperienza immersiva nella città.
Un clan errante di giovani guiderà il pubblico in un rituale urbano. Durante il percorso i bambini e ragazzi trasmetteranno al pubblico (gli adulti) le loro conoscenze su come adattarsi, come sopravvivere come essere autonomi, come sopravvivere, come continuare a sognare in un mondo al collasso.
Mano nella mano adulti e bambini attraverseranno la città alla ricerca di un senso per il futuro.
I bambini potrebbero trovarsi in difficoltà, anche gli adulti potrebbero trovarsi in difficoltà. Tutti lo siamo. Cos’è il pericolo se il peggior rischio è causato da noi adulti, giorno dopo giorno?
Dobbiamo avere fede nei bambini e nelle piante: a questo punto solo loro possono mostrarci la strada.
